English Summer, Indian blunder and Football thunder errr!!!!!!

England beat the odds right in its face and lifted the coveted T20 world cup. What do you call this? Who would have ever given these guys a 0.005% chance to do this impossible act when the world cup began? I wouldn’t have for sure.

T20 world cup seems to be jinxed with the most improbable team going on to win the cup. All formulae and patterns go for a toss. India won it with hardly any practice, so did Pakistan last time and England proves it once again. Aussies with their impeccable performance throughout the series were left to rub their noses hard on the ground. Sad, still exciting to see the English draw some blood for the humiliation they seem to suffer continuously from the Aussies. However, I must admit that Aussies deserved to win after watching that semifinal where they came back from nowhere to upset the Pakistanis. That was the best match of this T20 WC.

Anyways, our boys are back and are having their tryst with the brickbats. IPL parties, injuries, not able to tackle the short balls, their cup of woes is overflowing with such and more attacks. I watched a debate in NDTV, guess who debated- Azhar, Mandira Bedi, Some .com guy of a cricketing site, some cricket writer, some IPL host (with very bad hair, I could see her scalp). What a funny group to discuss the flaws of Indian cricket team. The discussion was further flawed to relive it here. Anyways, every news channel is grabbing its TRPs on the plight of our cricketers who have no clue what hit them to perform so pathetically after being cup holders in the first edition.

IPL is gone, so is T20 world cup. Its time for the next biggest sporting extravaganza, the Football world cup. Let’s see what’s in store for us here.

Cricket and Indian Movies - These can be talked over and over, but will still find viewers coz These two subjects every 'aam admi' can relate to..Accepting the fact that nothing is going to come out of these talk shows, why not Mandira Bedi, why not Dimple Kapadia, why not Mallika Sherawat? and why not Barbara Mori :)

Yeah!!! What a great paradox. In spite of all the shortcomings, movies and cricket continue to enjoy star power. Wonder what would have happened, had Kapil's devils lost in the World Cup 83
