The frames capture a wonderful metaphor in this song. The stage is that of a war with the protagonist being a soldier and his erstwhile love interest a journo. The lost lovers meet again in the midst of war field. The feelings churning out resemble that of a war field and this song tries to bring this metaphor to life. the scene starts with a bombing scene and the protagonists take shelter in a house. the bombing continues and that’s when eyes lock in reminiscing of the sweet nothings of the past. There are no dialogues as the song continues. I should say hrithik has done a wonderful job here, his eyes are wonderfully expressive, conveying pain, longing and love. He has one of the best pair of eyes in the industry and makes great use of it. coming back to the scene, somebody offers water to preity and they come back to reality. Then, the scene moves on as Hrithik and Preity step out of the house. Bombs keep falling and Preity holds on to Hrithik’s hands and he holds her and reaches out for safety. I guess I forgot after that. still, the song is beautifully filmed. I guess Farhan had a look at Mani ratnam’s “Dil Se” before he did this song. “Dil Se” song in “Dil se” was made on similar lines.
